The Mark Predella Band featuring Peter Vance

Mark Pradella is a woodwinds player (tenor, alto, soprano, clarinet), band leader, arranger and percussionist. His extensive experience performing, touring around the country and arranging music for bands has positioned him well to train and raise up many young musicians.

Still regularly performing around Australia, he has recently worked on a project which involved many of his past students, bringing together strings and vocalists along with his regular band to form a 20-piece group which recorded an album together entitled That’s the Way of the World. This ambitious project was a huge success and the album is now in 196 countries and on 200 music media platforms including YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.

Their performance will feature a scaled-down band who will be doing some of the songs from the album plus new material. Mark, playing clarinet, tenor, alto and soprano sax and his band, along with vocalist Peter Vance, will present exciting arrangements of tunes from a mixture of musical styles – jazz, swing, blues, funk, Latin and more. Band members include Ian Townson on drums, Hal Chandler on bass, and Sam Pace on piano. This will be a musical journey with great arrangements, stage fun and toe-tapping grooves.
