Speaking In Tongues brings together a rare and potent mix of Southeast Queensland heavy music for a night of all things dank, dark, and damned.

Headlining are Brisbane kings of grim dissonant death metal, Resin Tomb. Featuring members of Descent, Snorlax & Siberian Hell sounds. Their 2024 full-length Cerebral Purgatory (Transcending Obscurity) showcases their tightly focused aggression and penchant for suffocating atmospheric grind.

Supporting are Gold Coast's favourite riff-worshippers, The Black Swamp. 2025 sees the long-awaited release of new music from The Swamp, following their 2018 EP, Witches.

Also performing are Gold Coast / Sydney dungeon rockers, Sohnelm. Featuring members of Azreal and Sumeru, the band dropped their debut 7" Ultra Crusher (Brilliant Emperor) in 2024.

Brisbane's Flail praise amps and eat plants. They'll bring their abrasive plant-based sludge to the Gold Coast for the first time, and we're stoked to have them. In Greek mythology, Cerberus is Hades' multi-headed hound that guards the gate to the Underworld. At Speaking In Tongues, Cerberus, the young Northern Rivers 3 piece, will welcome all with their elegant, fuzzed-out doom.

This night of death, doom and sludge all goes down at Mo's Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh Heads on Friday, March 28th.
