Celebrating 50 years of music therapy in Australia and 25 years of music therapy on the Gold Coast, during World Music Therapy Week.
Marking the beginning of World Music Therapy Week, our event, inspired by the much-loved pub choir events, will have us singing to celebrate 50 years of music therapy across Australia and 25 years of music therapy, right here on the Gold Coast.
Come along an experience the power of music, enjoy a drink and light refreshments, while we showcase the benefits of music therapy for people with disability, mental illness and dementia in our Gold Coast community.
As you may be aware, music therapy is a research-based allied health profession in which music is used to actively support people as they aim to improve their health, functioning and well-being. It can help people of all ages to manage their physical and mental health and enhance their quality of life.
We welcome you to see first-hand the positive impact music therapy has on clients and families who receive this critical support for their functional outcomes.
Please RSVP by 3 April to our Client Care Team on 07 5647 6120 or info@qpah.com.au
