Power Nadeshiko Female Empowerment Project Screening Event
Sunday 19 January 2025 | 09:30 AM
Southport
A screening of informational videos followed by a panel discussion aimed at empowering women to live independently and safely.
This event seeks to raise awareness about gender-based violence and discrimination, with a focus on culturally diverse women, including the Japanese community in Queensland.
Screening
We will showcase bilingual videos in English and Japanese featuring informative interviews with experts from various fields. These videos will address key topics such as gender equality, violence prevention, workplace harassment, and the unique challenges faced by culturally diverse women in Queensland, Australia.
Panel discussion
After the screenings, we will hold a panel discussion featuring experts in workplace harassment, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
This will be a valuable opportunity for community members to share information, gain new insights, and network while exchanging experiences and information related to various life issues.
The main goal of Power Nadeshiko is to empower everyone to recognise the signs of gender-based violence and discrimination. Through this event, we aim to foster healthy relationships and emphasise the importance of mutual respect and support.
We look forward to seeing you there!
