Join Jabirr Jabirr poet and frontman of Gold Coast band Selve in an exclusive first reading of the collection of poetry and stories created through Loki's ArtKeeper artist residency at HOTA.
A renowned and electric performer, Loki has shared his poetry at such places and events as Woodford Folk Festival, Bleach* Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Horizon Festival, La Boite Theatre, QPAC, Brisbane Festival and Documenta15. He has also had his work published in the Griffith Review and This All Come Back Now.
Loki's band Selve have recently returned from their national Red Desert Dream Tour which took them from the Gold Coast to Broome and back hitting everywhere on the east coast along the way. Brimming with energy, charm, comedy and power; Loki's first sharing of his new work is an event you don't want to miss.
Make a night of it and see Awake by Lisa Smith, an exclusive work-in-progress theatre work. Awake explores the public rituals of farewell alongside the more private face of grieving, created through Lisa’s ArtKeeper residency.
Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts as part of HOTA's ArtKeeper 2024 Public Program.
