The Kokoda Challenge is Australia’s toughest team endurance event and is not for the faint-hearted. Test your physical and mental resilience by walking through the Gold Coast Hinterland over a distance of 30km, 48km, or 96km.
Over 4,000 meters of elevation and 39 hours of trekking through the day and night, regardless of weather conditions. The course includes sharp inclines, gruelling descents, mud and creeks, paying tribute to the sacrifices of our Diggers who fought in the 1942 Kokoda Campaign.
The funds raised support Kokoda Youth Foundation programs. These programs empower local kids with the values of the Kokoda Spirit – courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice.
Past participants have called this event “physically and emotionally exhausting, and yet the most extraordinary and rewarding thing we’ve completed.” Every step is a testament to your inner strength, prove to yourself what you’re truly made of and join us on this epic adventure!
