Coast Acoustics Unplugged: Dan Hannaford’s Grit & Groove!

A past favourite at our open mics, Dan returns this month with his signature blend of grit, soul, and outlaw spirit. We’re keen to welcome him back and hear what he’s been up to.

From gospel to punk to outlaw country, Dan’s musical journey is as raw and real as the stories he tells through song. A Byron Bay original, he’s shared stages with the likes of Charlie Musselwhite, Tex Perkins, The Black Sorrows, and Ash Grunwald, captivating crowds with a voice soaked in blues and lyrics that cut straight to the heart.

Born the son of a preacher, his earliest beats came from hymns and drums in church. Since then, he's carved a path across Australia’s east coast and beyond – from pub rock gigs to major festivals and international recording sessions.

Schedule

• 12:30pm to 3:00pm – Open Mic (White Board Session) Bring your stories, your instruments, your voice, your favourite song – whatever your heart desires. The stage is open to all. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served.
• 3:30pm to 4:30pm – Grab a cold drink from our bar, sit back, and be entertained by Dan.
