What is your vision for our city’s growth? Join an interactive workshop to share your views and ideas!

By 2046, our city’s population is expected to grow to 1,022,100, adding around 388,300 people, over 161,700 new homes, and 173,800 more jobs. As the Gold Coast grows, we need to plan for the development of new homes, businesses, and infrastructure including transport and parks while valuing what we love about our city.

The City of Gold Coast is in the process of developing a Local Growth Management Strategy (LGMS), a strategic blueprint for managing population and employment growth over the coming decades.

We want to hear your vision for our city’s future, including what you value and consider important to the future of the Gold Coast

Topics

  • Learn about the City’s approach to engaging the community in urban change
  • Explore the critical opportunities and challenges of growth in our city, including housing diversity, urban greening, climate-responsive planning, and design excellence
  • Share your views and ideas on how our city should grow and the critical success factors for successful growth

Presented by Jennifer Michelmore – Managing Director of Civic Shifts and former CEO of Studio THI.

The outcomes from this session will inform the development of the LGMS and we look forward to your participation!
